Status Transaction

Equal Status
Both characters are on an equal level. They are also loose and relaxed, indicating no intimidation or obligation to impress one or the other.

Low/High Status
One character is sitting, while the other is standing, and this physical difference in levels indicates that Cat is of higher status than Rose. Additionally, Rose's posture is more straight and tense, indication anxiety and an obligation to impress Cat. Cat, however, is lose and relaxed, indicating that he has no reason to be nervous around Rose, and therefore is of higher status.

High/Low Status
While both characters are standing in this clip, their body language expresses their status. When Rose enters, Cat becomes fidgety and awkward, whereas Rose is stiff and nonchalant. Cat's body language indicates anxiety around Rose, whereas Rose's body language indicates no stress or enthusiasm, which conveys the idea that Rose is of higher status in this scene.
